Liver Shih Tzu Puppies
You may have many best friends but a dog only has one!
Purebred Liver Shih Tzu Puppies for Sale
I often get asked what are Liver Shih Tzu Puppies. Contrary to popular belief, liver is actually the pigmentation color the dog has inherited, not the coat color. Liver Shih Tzu puppies have a liver or almost chocolate-colored nose, eye rims, lips, and paw pads.
The actual coat color on liver Shih Tzu puppies may be tan, red, gold, dark chocolate, etc. Also, the coat can be multi-colored or solid. The only color you won’t get in liver Shih Tzu puppies is black. All black genetically becomes brown when you’re dealing with the liver gene.
Meet Brownie
Liver Shih Tzu puppies are often thought of as rare. Fortunately, Brownie, our newest addition, is a purebred liver Shih Tzu that is able to produce beautiful liver and traditional colored puppies. Arizona Sunrise Shih Tzus is super excited to have liver Shih Tzu puppies for sale! We cannot wait to show you the phenomenal offspring that Brownie produces when paired with our beautiful Dams…Maggie, Daisy, Cookie and Peaches!

What to Expect
According to the AKC, a standard-sized Shih Tzu should weigh between 9-16 pounds on average. Any Shih Tzu weighing less than 9 pounds is commonly known as an Imperial Shih Tzu.
To date, all of the purebred Shih Tzu puppies that I have sold have weighed in between the 9 to 16-pound range as adults. Now that I have added a new sire, Brownie, weights have changed a bit. We still produce standard-sized Shih Tzus for the most part. But, on occasion, some of Brownie’s offspring weigh under the 9-pound mark. For example, a few of Daisy’s females weigh between 6 to 8 pounds. They’re tiny but healthy!
